There are more and more of these sponsored posts only blogs (I only wish I had their address book for them come rent day!) but luckily they are drowned out by purist blogs. A good mix of the two is what is best for everyone.LazyGirlBlognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719633936456636651.post-76108829612808081812012-11-25T11:55:48.288+00:002012-11-25T11:55:48.288+00:00I did buy it into the stats thing with all these r...I did buy it into the stats thing with all these ranking and wards thing. But in reality, after the amount of years I've been blogging, I have seen my stats increase masses since I decided not to write for awards or stats, but to write what I wanted to! Which may just be me, but I have never looked back. I laugh about it all now.LazyGirlBlognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719633936456636651.post-43083747287854447962012-11-23T20:00:37.817+00:002012-11-23T20:00:37.817+00:00But your blog isn't completely made of sponsor...But your blog isn't completely made of sponsored posts, you still blog objectively about other issues. I'm talking about mums who wrote well but now every single post is sponsored by marmite, build a bear, specsavers etc.Laura kwahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719633936456636651.post-88057941223684901282012-11-21T20:14:52.786+00:002012-11-21T20:14:52.786+00:00ell, I have to say I do review and I do take spons...ell, I have to say I do review and I do take sponsored posts too. I don't see it as selling out unless you aren't transparent in saying its a review or sponsored posts, or if the review is not 100% honest. I keep my reviews on a separate blog to avoid those who are purists from being turned off my blog. I do have rent to pay though so I do take on sponsored posts which fit in with the nature of the blog- I can't afford not to. I don't think its selling out, it takes quite a bit of time and effort to build the following, a lot of my day is taken up, like a full time job, with engaging my readers, writing something which they find interesting enough to come back(!) and generally being "out there" in the blog world.20somethingmumnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719633936456636651.post-21695095591784594822012-11-21T16:42:08.714+00:002012-11-21T16:42:08.714+00:00I get sad every time I see a mum has sold out and ...I get sad every time I see a mum has sold out and all of her posts are just sponsored posts "reviewing" freebies that companies have given her due to her blog following. (Although I do take a peek at e-buzzing every now and again but it is only when it crosses my mind, and not a monthly ritual like a period, hence I no longer get PMS :-) )

Before I entered this "world" I wrote very differently, at my older blog, and no matter how hard I try to shake off the shackles of what's expected I still can't find a way to write like I used to.

I started my current blog in 2009 so I do remember the days that you hark back to, and hope we go full circle and away from the current commercial madness that has consumed us.

Great post.

Liska
@New_Mum_Online:disqus

xxNewMumOnlinehttp://newmumonline.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
