Oh yes, THE LIFE OF THE TWENTY SOMETHING MUM is ONE YEAR OLD!!!!
Happy Blogversary to me, etc etc and all that.
So, I have created a Meme and award to commemorate that I didn't get bored/lazy/too busy and ditch it after five minutes.
Its been a busy year, and I've been profiled at My Child, written for Great Toy Guide, Tomy and CuddleDry. I've been featured in newspapers and magazines, and to top it all off have been nominated for loads of categories in this years MADS (nominated is amazing to me, sod the winning!), and now Gurgle for Best Mummy Blog Writing-wow. Not bad for a former drunken teen now reformed (ahem) Mum from Land of the Chavs Medway.
And the best part has been the awards you lovely readers have bestowed on me, usually at times when I nearly gave up for fear that no one apart from Elder's and my mate Carol (hi hun xx) actually read the bloody thing!
There have been ups and some major downs, but, God love you, we're all still here!
The Meme is called simply the Blogging Meme, and it goes a little like this:
FAVOURITE FELLOW BLOG
Mine is without question Mellow Mummy, Emma gets the right mix of advice (without being condescending), reviews and insites into what goes on in her life as a new Mum. She is also very funny, and a good laugh at Twitter. That and she shares my some times questionable taste in music....
BLOGGER YOU MOST RESPECT
Tara is great, I love Sticky Fingers, she has a real way of getting all us bloggers talking about our pictures, and then selflessly spent what must have been ages making a photo montage of them. I would not have the time or inclination to do that myself. Her blogs amazing. And shes a fellow Twitter user whose tweets have me in stitches.
BEST BLOG TO JOIN IN WITH
Josie's writing workshop at Sleep is For the Weak is something which due to laziness I dip in and out of, but whenever I'm stuck for a post, I know one of the topics of the week will spark the old creative juices. Its also a place where I have discovered new blogs at too, so cheers Josie!
FAVOURITE POST BY A FELLOW BLOGGER
Emily's blog, Maternal Tales of the South Coast, was one of the first blogs I found via British Mummy Bloggers, and its by far one of the best around. But one post is one of my faves of all posts, as it had me in stitches-http://emilybassin.blogspot.com/2009/10/grey-hairs-in-all-wrong-places.html. She's also a very yummy Mummy who despite having children never has a hair out of place and is always impeccably dressed with not a stain in sight!
That just leaves the award badge, made by me! HERES TO ANOTHER YEAR COMING!
